Raiders scored first 16 points

ALEXANDRIA, Ky. - The Ryle Raiders made their final statement of the regular season an emphatic one, serving notice to all in the 9th Region with a 75-40 throttling of a 20-win Campbell County team in both teams’ regular-season finale Friday night.
The next game for both teams will be Tuesday in their district tournaments, with Ryle facing Cooper and Campbell County playing the winner of Monday’s Calvary Christian-Silver Grove game.
“We did what we do best, and that’s run and play good aggressive defense and let our athleticism take over,” said head coach Patti Oliverio. “We played really well as a team tonight. We got all five players involved. Any time we can put five players on the court who can score, who can do a lot of things with the basketball, when we get all five people involved in the offense, we are pretty hard to guard.”
The Raiders were equally tough on the defensive end, where their pressure caused Campbell County to turn the ball over seven times in its first 13 possessions, leading to a 16-0 run by the Raiders to open the game.
