A wild pitch brought home the go-ahead run in the top of the eighth inning for the Ryle, which beat Campbell County, 6-3 on Wednesday.

Junior left fielder Tanner Pulice squeezed home a run after the wild pitch, and junior second baseman Jackson Brennan singled to give the Raiders a three-run lead.  Senior left-hander Mark Downs allowed just one unearned run in the first six innings, and he came back to the mound to finish off the seventh after Ryle’s bullpen struggled.  Raiders senior Bryan Comora threw just six pitches in the bottom of the eighth to earn his first save of the season.

It was the third time in five games Ryle has gone extra innings.
