Construction Update - Twas the Night Before Christmas Eve ..

Friday, December 23rd - Twas the Night Before Christmas Eve and all through the school,
staff and construction workers were stirring everywhere!

While students are away, our school is in the middle of a flurry of activity on mid-year cleaning and maintenance and also on the construction project.  Here is a quick update with some pictures of the progress.

Working now to get the lower commons expansion completely under roof.  Here you see the radius wall where glass will be installed and give it the same visual of bronze mirrored glass as the previous commons.  The left side of the 2nd picture shows the vestibule that will connect the commons addition to the academic wing, allow foot traffic to move more smoothly through the school.

The masonry crew is working to complete the brick facing on the new wall in the commons addition.

The old floor in the band room, including the temporary tiling that covered the new plumbing installation, is being replaced with new tile.  The old exit doors on the left have been covered and the new doors to the outside on the left are nearly complete.

The inside of the new physical education room is nearly complete - just some finishing details to go.

Above is the inside view of the vestibule connecting the commons and academic wing along with an inside view of the commons addition.

Along with the construction, routine maintenance and cleaning is happening throughout the building - cleaning and buffing the gym floor, a new sound system will be installed as well, and cleaning the floors in the classrooms.

Enjoy your holiday break and we will see you on January 5th!
