Boone County Youth Cabinet applications

It is time once again to begin the application process for next year’s Boone County Youth Cabinet.

Requirements:

• Junior in high school (2016-2017) and reside in Boone County
• Must attend monthly planned program activities, most of which are scheduled during the school day hours with some evening and weekend activities. Failure to attend three (3) activities could result in termination from the program.
• All application materials must be postmarked or received by Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 4:30 p.m.  Please mail, fax, e-mail or bring the completed application to the Boone County Human Services Department, P.O. The program, established by the Boone County Fiscal Court thirteen years ago, helps students develop in the areas of leadership and civic responsibility by offering youth perspectives to the Judge-Executive and Fiscal Court; encouraging teens to become familiar with the legal and judicial process;  engaging them in decision-making and service-learning; and demonstrating how youth can influence public policy.   The group is sponsored by the Boone County Fiscal Court and RC Durr YMCA.
