WINNERS
The Northern Kentucky Area High School Creative Writing Contest 2014
(Sponsored by the English Departmentof Northern Kentucky University)
The Northern Kentucky Area High School Creative Writing Contest is a special outreach program that seeks to foster a greater interest in the literary arts and to recognize area student achievements. It is open to all Northern Kentucky Area high school students. The contest awards cash prizes and certificates of achievement for First ($100), Second ($75), and Third Prize ($50) in Poetry, Fiction and the Personal Essay. Judges who are experts in the field of creative writing evaluated approximately 400 entries submitted from students throughout the Northern Kentucky area. This year, in addition to the First, Second and Third place winners, the judges selected several honorable mentions due to the quality of the entries submitted. We want to thank not only the winners, their teachers, and their parents but all the participants in the contest as well as the judges for making this year’s contest a success.
