Erin Sheehy, Ryle Class of 2009, to study at Cambridge

Erin Sheehy, Ryle Class of 2009, has received a prestigious scholarship to study at the University of Cambridge in England.  Below is the press release from UofL.  Congratulations to Erin and her family!

UofL student from Union will study at University of Cambridge

Erin Sheehy graduated from Larry A. Ryle High School
 

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — University of Louisville junior Erin Sheehy has received an English-Speaking Union Scholarship to study during the summer at University of Cambridge in England.

Sheehy, an English and Exercise Science major, will spend part of the summer at Cambridge as part of that university’s literature program, which focuses on the analysis and implications of classic and modern English literature. The scholarship is funded by the Kentucky Branch of the English-Speaking Union.

Sheehy is an honors student who is involved in the university’s health promotion and mentoring programs. She is also active in the Catholic Campus Ministry. In addition to her English-Speaking Union Scholarship, she was also awarded UofL’s Trustee’s Scholarship, an award that goes to Kentucky high school students with outstanding academic performance.

A 2009 graduate from Larry A. Ryle High School, Sheehy is the daughter of Maureen and Philip Sheehy, both of Union.
