Math Honor Society:
  • MHS will meet on Monday, May 16th in the Media Center at 2:30
  • Election of 2016-2017 will take place


 
Student Council:
  • Student Council members.....Your last chance to earn points is now!!! 
  •  Please bring homemade cookies or brownies to room 241 no later than Monday, May 2nd!! No store or bakery bought items. 
  • Teacher appreciation committee meeting meet after school Thursday, Friday and Monday. 
  • Also check the lists on the door of Room 241 for point opportunities and point totals. You must have 10 points to vote at our election meeting May 12th.

Yearbook:
  • The Yearbook Staff is entering its last 2 weeks of yearbook sales! This is your LAST opportunity to purchase a book! 
  • This year's theme is "Point of View" and we have a special surprise. The cover is made from plexiglass!

FBLA Nationals: 
  • There will be a brief FBLA meeting for anyone attending nationals on Thursday after school in room 138. Please be here to confirm your participation.

Announcements Tuesday, April 26th


English Honor Society:
  • Attention English Honor Society: Celebrate Shakespeare's birthday after school today in the media center. 
  • Bring a poem or a sonnet to share for an activity point. 
  • We'll also discuss end of year events. 


Spring Sing: 
  • Do you like to sing? Ryle Choirs will be hosting its annual Spring Sing on May 20th at 6 PM! 
  • Spring Sing is an all singing based talent show and a great opportunity to show off your talent! 
  • Auditions will be held on May 12th and 13th after school in the choir room. 
  • See Mr. Hein to sign up and get more info.


Media Center:
  • The last day to check out books from the Media Center will be April 29th


Volleyball: 
  •  Any girl interested in trying out for volleyball needs to see Coach Lovins in Room 207 to pick up a packet


Senior Boys v. Varsity Volleyball Match:
  • Mark your calendars to attend the 1st Annual Senior Boys versus Varsity Volleyball Players Match on Monday, May 9th at 6:00p.m. The cost is $3.00 at the door. The event is to help raise money for the volleyball team to purchase new uniforms and a new net system.

 
KEY Club: 
  • Key Club Officer Applications are due this Thursday 4/28/16. Please turn them in to Delaney's Room 127
  • We will be holding a mandatory Key Club meeting after school in  the Media Center Tuesday May 3rd. Only 15 minutes!

HOSA Members:
  • If you want to attend the CPR class on April 29th
  • You must sign up in Room 232 this week
  • The class will last about 3 hours after school and cost $6



FBLA:
  • Any student interested in becoming an FBLA officer next year, please see Mrs. Stefanopoulos in room 138 for an application. These are due by May 
  • Any FBLA senior interested in an honor cord application for graduation, please see Mrs. Stefanopoulos in room 138 for an application. These are also due by May 6


Prom Pictures:
  • If you had pictures taken by Prestige at Prom, please stop by room 104 to pick up your order


English Honor Society:
  • English Honor Society meeting on Tuesday, April 26 after school in the library. We will be celebrating Shakespeare's birthday and National Poetry month. Sign up sheets will be up outside room 129 on Monday.


French Honor Society:
  • FHS is having a meeting on Wednesday, April 27th. This is our final meeting, so please come! We will be voting for next year's officers as well. Anyone interested in running for an office should talk to Mrs. Naziripour or a current officer.

Congratulations Ken!:
  • Congratulations to Ken Ryumae on earning 3rd place with his project at the Kentucky State Science Fair
  • He also presented his project," Determining the Relationship Between Ground Robots and Drones", at the Kentucky Junior Academy of Science annual meeting this past Saturday
  • Way to go Ken!


Lady Raider Basketball Open Gym:
  • Reminder to any young lady interested in playing basketball that open gyms start this week on Tuesday and Wednesday right after school 3-5:00 in the gym

Scholarship Tea:
  • Any senior who has ACCEPTED an academic or service related scholarship is eligible to receive an invitation to the Scholarship Tea
  • Each senior must report these scholarships using the Google Form at http://goo.gl/forms/EFucSf8fpT BY WEDNESDAY, Apr 20 in order to be added to the invitation list


Senior T-Shirts:
  • The date for our SR picture has been changed to Fri, May 20 so the "early college" seniors may easily join in the fun
  • Therefore, TEE SHIRTS will be available for order through Wednesday of this week
  • Come to Room 208 to order
  • Cost is $12

Announcements Wednesday, April 6th


Blank State:
  • Local band Blank State is headlining Bogarts on Saturday June 11th for the release of their debut album Trauma Illinois
  • They are the youngest band to play at Bogarts since Walk the Moon
  • Tickets are on sale now at Bogarts.com 


Book Drive:
  • A student in our school district is having a book drive to support an Eagle Scout project sponsored by the Boone County Public Library
  • The project will be to build Little Free Libraries which will act as place holders for future branches of the Boone County Public Library
  • Please place any book donations in the collection box at our school library
  • Any help will be appreciated and all donations will be used to support the Little Free Libraries Eagle Scout project


Fishing Club:
  • Fishing club Meeting at 2:30 in room 235. Election of officers will take place.

Boys Basketball:
  • Any boy that is interested in playing basketball next year there will be a meeting after school this Thursday, April 7th at 2:40 in room 203
  • If you are unable to attend, see Coach McFarland in room 203 or Coach Williams in room 112


Interalliance:
  • April 7th Interalliance meeting in room 119 right after school. Planning year end party, officer elections for next year and need volunteers for Jet and Hawk days. See you there. 


English Honor Society:
  • Attention English Honor Society Members - We will have a brief informational meeting on Wednesday, April 6 after school in the library. We will discuss upcoming activities and service events. 


KEY Club:
  • Those interested in becoming a KEY Club officer. Applications are with Ms. Delaney Rm 127 or Mrs. McQuade in the Media Center. 
  • The KEY CLUB is collecting items for GO Pantry. Please bring items to Room 127 or the Media Center.


Knitting Club:

Astronomy RAP Workshop:
  • Want to learn more about astronomy? There will be two different RAP workshops on Thursday and Friday focusing on space -- the final frontier. Sign up for solar system workshops in the biology section of the RAP website.
