Arizona senior swimmer Cory Chitwood, a Ryle graduate, won the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 1:46.54, the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:42.78, and was a member of the second place 400-yard medley relay team that finished in 3:12.05, helping the No. 1-ranked Wildcats defeat No. 2 Texas 155-88. It was the final home meet of his career.
Chitwood won the 50-yard freestyle and 200-yard backstroke against No. 3 Stanford the previous week.
He has the fastest time in the nation in the 200-yard backstroke, and is second in the nation in the 100 yard backstroke and 200 yard individual medley.
