National Honor Society:
- If
you are interested in applying to be a member of the Ryle National
Honor Society, a link to the application is now on the Ryle homepage.
Applications can only be submitted online. Paper applications will not
be accepted with the exception of the Signature Page which must be
turned in by August 26th. It is important that you read all directions
carefully.
Dual Enrollment:
- Any
student taking Dual Enrollment in the Fall 2016 needs to turn in their
college schedule to us by next Wednesday, May 25, 2016. If Guidance
does not have these schedules, students will be placed in all Ryle
electives.
Speech & Debate:
- Congratulations
to speech and debate team member Sydney Malatesta, who placed 14th IN
THE NATION for her humorous interpretation at the NIETOC tournament in
Denver, Colorado this past weekend. Way to go!
2016-2017 AP U.S. History:
- All
students who plan to take AP U.S. History next year need to stop by Mr.
Williams (room 112) or Mr. Margrave's (room 115) to pick up your
textbook for the summer assignment. Books WILL NOT be available for
pick-up during the summer.
Kings Island T-Shirt:
- The
Kings Island T-Shirts are Ready. Please pick them up from Mr. Stropko's
room anytime today or look for Mrs. Harwood during lunch.
Summer Digital Literacy Class:
- There are still spots available for Summer Digital Literacy, the cost is $150, see Mr. Bentley in room 119 for details.
Raider Bank:
- The Raider Bank will be closing for the year on Monday, May 16th. Please come and close out your accounts.
English Honor Society:
- Attention seniors in English Honor Society. Please stop by room 129 to get your Honor cords.
Kings Island T-Shirt:
- Seniors, The annual Kings Island T-Shirts will be on sale starting
today
- Please bring in any shirt and $3.00. The only requirement is that
the shirt cannot be black
- We can print on tank tops, colored shirts,
neons or even old t-shirts. Just bring it in and give it to Mr. Stropko.
- The designs were created by seniors so help support the art department
and wear a one of a kind shirt! May 16th is the deadline!
Sonic Fundraiser:
- Key Club is sponsoring a fundraiser at Sonic (Mt. Zion Location) on
Wednesday, May 18th from 5-8 pm. 15% of Sonic's proceeds will be
donated to GoPantry in order to provide food to needy children in
Northern Kentucky. Please join us in helping our community. Eat at the
Mt. Zion Sonic the evening of May 18th!
KEY Club:
- We need volunteers to help with the Sonic
fundraiser to be held on Wednesday, May 18th. See Mrs. Delaney in room
127 or talk to Sarah Delaney for details.
Blank State:
- Local band Blank State is playing at Bogarts June 10th. Tickets are $10 and can be bought from band members or on Bogarts.com

senior Student council members!!! Your honor cord applications are due

- For all members the election of officers will be held on Thursday May
12th after school in the media center. Please check the door of room
241 for qualifications and nominations. You must have 10 points in
order to vote.
Boys Track:
- Congratulations
are in order for the Ryle Boys Track and Field team. Last night they
won their unprecedented 5th straight NKAC championship, behind the
senior leadership of Justin Reed, Oscar Ramirez, Greg Swinehart, Mitchel
Bateman, Joshua Steffney, and Matt Froschauer. Great job to them and
all of the guys who participated!
FCCLA:
- If
anyone is interested in becoming a FCCLA chapter officer for the
2016-2017 school year applications are in ms. Dews and ms. Whites
room.(213 & 214) They are due May 13th. Come join the ultimate
leadership experience!
Adapted Art 1 Class:
- Mrs.
Harwood and Mr. Stilkey will be offering an adaptive art 1 class. They
are looking for 15 students that might be interested in physical
therapy, occupational therapy, art education, and special education job
fields. Students will receive an Art I credit for this collaboration
class. This class will be very similar to the PE collaboration class
that is currently offered but will take place in the art room. All
interested students need to stop by room 123 to signup with Mrs.
Harwood.
Senior King's Island Trip:
- Last day to purchase King's Island tickets is Monday, May 9th
- $38 for ticket and bus transportation.
If you have a Gold Pass, the charge is $3 for bus transportation
- Money will not be accepted unless accompanied by your completed permission form.
If you lost your form, you can pick one up outside of room 208.
Tickets on sale in Rm 208 before school and in the Upper Commons after school
Math Honor Society:
- MHS will meet on Monday, May 16th in the Media Center at 2:30
- Election of 2016-2017 will take place

Council:

- Please
bring homemade cookies or brownies to room 241 no later than Monday, May
2nd!! No store or bakery bought items.
- Teacher appreciation committee
meeting meet after school Thursday, Friday and Monday.

You must have 10 points to vote at our election meeting May 12th.
Yearbook:
- The
Yearbook Staff is entering its last 2 weeks of yearbook sales! This is
your LAST opportunity to purchase a book!
- This year's theme is "Point of
View" and we have a special surprise. The cover is made from
plexiglass!

FBLA Nationals:
- There
will be a brief FBLA meeting for anyone attending nationals on Thursday
after school in room 138. Please be here to confirm your
participation.
English Honor Society:
- Attention
English Honor Society: Celebrate Shakespeare's birthday after school
today in the media center.
- Bring a poem or a sonnet to share for an
activity point.
- We'll also discuss end of year events.
Spring Sing:
- Do
you like to sing? Ryle Choirs will be hosting its annual Spring Sing on
May 20th at 6 PM!
- Spring Sing is an all singing based talent show and a
great opportunity to show off your talent!
- Auditions will be held on May 12th and 13th after school in the choir
room.

Media Center:
- The last day to check out books from the Media Center will be April 29th
Volleyball:
- Any girl interested in trying out for volleyball needs to see Coach Lovins in Room 207 to pick up a packet
Senior Boys v. Varsity Volleyball Match:
- Mark
your calendars to attend the 1st Annual Senior Boys versus Varsity
Volleyball Players Match on Monday, May 9th at 6:00p.m. The cost is
$3.00 at the door. The event is to help raise money for the volleyball
team to purchase new uniforms and a new net system.
KEY Club:
- Key Club Officer Applications are due this Thursday 4/28/16. Please turn them in to Delaney's Room 127
- We will be holding a mandatory Key Club meeting after school in the Media Center Tuesday May 3rd. Only 15 minutes!
HOSA Members:
- If you want to attend the CPR class on April 29th
- You must sign up in Room 232 this week
- The class will last about 3 hours after school and cost $6
FBLA:
- Any student interested in becoming an FBLA officer next year, please see

Prom Pictures:
- If you had pictures taken by Prestige at Prom, please stop by room 104 to pick up your order
English Honor Society:
- English Honor Society meeting on Tuesday, April 26 after school in the
library. We will be celebrating Shakespeare's birthday and National
Poetry month. Sign up sheets will be up outside room 129 on Monday.
French Honor Society:
- FHS is having a meeting on Wednesday, April 27th. This is our final
meeting, so please come! We will be voting for next year's officers as
well. Anyone interested in running for an office should talk to Mrs.
Naziripour or a current officer.
