Post Season for Fall Sports

District tournament action begins for volleyball and soccer, while the state golf tournament concludes today.  Here's a brief rundown of the action this week:

Volleyball District tournament at Conner HS       volleyball tournament bracket

• Ryle plays the winner of Conner and Heritage on Wednesday at 6:30 pm.
• The championship game is Thursday night at 6:30 pm

Soccer District Tournaments at Boone Co. HS

• The Lady Raiders play Cooper on Monday at 6 pm.  Girls Soccer tournament bracket
• The boys' soccer team plays the winner of Conner and Cooper on Thursday at 7:30 pm.  Boys Soccer tournament bracket
• The championship soccer games are Friday, girls at 5:30 pm and the boys at 7:30 pm.

State Golf Tournament at Bowling Green Country Club

• The boys team is currently is 7th place overall going into the final day of play.
• All 5 golfers made the cut with Blake Hamilton leading the way with a 73, placing him 13th overall.

The match-up of the two top football teams in the Northern Ky 6A district did not disappoint. It was a hard fought game, decided in overtime, in front of a great home crowd.

Important Information for Seniors

The guidance counselors have met with all senior students this past week to review some important information on their senior year, college admissions, and scholarship opportunities.

Parents, take some time to review this information with your senior students.  Contact the guidance office if you have questions.

Tackle for the Cure

In support of the American Cancer Society, the Ryle Future Business Leaders of America are sponsoring a community service project at the Ryle – Simon Kenton football game on Friday, October 8th.

Everyone is invited to attend the game and be sure to wear purple in support of cancer awareness. A portion of every ticket to the game will be donated to charity as well donations to see a Ryle faculty member receive a pie in the face. Additionally, cancer survivors will be publicly recognized and honored at the game. If you know of a family or community member that is a cancer survivor and would like to recognize them at the game, email rylefbla@boone.kyschools.us.

So get out your purple and help find a cure while we root for the Ryle orange and black. See you at the game at 7:00 pm on Friday.

Boys Golf Team Heads to State Tournament

On Tuesday, the Boys' Raider golf team finished 2nd in the Region 7 Golf Tournament held at Boone Links golf course.  Blake Hamilton scored an even par 72 to earn medalist honors, the region's best golfer.

The boys' team will now head to the KHSAA state golf tournament held at Bowling Green Country Club on Friday, October 8th and Saturday, October 9th.

Progress Reports for 1st Quarter

Progress reports for the 6 week mark of the 1st Quarter were handed out to students today in RAP.

For students needing extra assistance or just a little bit of help, we have tutoring during RAP or afterschool for the core subject areas.  Contact your student's teachers or Assistant Principal for more details.  Many teachers are available for some individual assistance right before or after school.

For students with a failing grade, contacts will be made by teachers and/or administrators in order to be sure you know that your child is having difficulty and to offer suggestions for assisting them.
